How to get ready for Santa
Be sure to provide Santa with information about where to park. The location should be as near as possible to where his appearance will be. Putting up a sign that reads, "Reserved for Santa" might be a fun thing to do.
Once inside, remember that Santa's suit is heavy, and warm so, if possible, provide a fan to move the air around him! Please be sure he is not too close to a lit fireplace where it tends to become very warm.
Choose the location you would like for your photos or videos that brings the Holiday feeling to the photos. Perhaps near the Christmas tree but with plenty of room around for people to stand. Any personal cards or children's drawings etc. add personality to the photos.
Santa prefers to stand. If Mrs. Claus is also appearing, she will remain close to Santa. They are both there to make your holiday memorable. If there is something special you would like them to do, just ask, and if at all possible they will try to help with your request.
Santa can pose in different ways, but has found that standing is the perfect choice. However, if someone wants to sit on his lap, that is no problem at all. He can stand with someone who does not want to sit on his lap or provide a hug for parents and grandparents to make for a nice photo. Santa will slowly work with shy, or frightened children. Rest assured that Santa will try to get you a great experience.
If gifts are to be handed out, Santa can carry one large bag (approximately 2x3' in size). There should be one person assigned as the coordinator to meet Santa outside with the gifts. The coordinator should be someone who knows the children well. This is also the point person for Santa to contact to advise he is on his way and discuss his estimated time of arrival. All gifts should have names clearly printed directly on them. Labels fall off too easily. Once Santa is inside, and all attention is on him, additional gifts that did not fit in the bag, can be placed next to him.
Santa reserves the right to refuse doing anything he deems inappropriate to the Santa persona.
Any payment due to Santa should be put it in a card and please tell Santa that it is a card from everyone. It is never appropriate for Santa to take cash!
PLEASE NOTE: SANTA & MRS. CLAUS WILL DO EVERYTHING THEY POSSIBLY CAN TO VISIT YOUR HOME, OR PARTY, BUT RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL/RESCHEDULE DUE TO POOR WEATHER CONDITIONS OR OTHER UNFORSEEABLE CIRCUMSTANCES.
Santa looks forward to his visit with everyone AND to making this Christmas memorable!
